Our Head Instructor, Sensei Jim Bacon received his (Shodan) lst degree black belt in Kenpo karate in 1998 under Sensei Skip McClurg (3rd degree black belt) from Ambler, Pennsylvania. Sensei Jim trained under Sensei McClurg from 1991 to 1997. He also trained under Master Ray Fisher from the mid 1980's to early 1990 in Tempe, Arizona (now ACS Karate www.acskarate.com, formerly TRACO International).

As a teenager in 1976, he trained at MONTCO in Pennsylvania and studied Taekwondo until he relocated to Arizona in 1986. He brings with him over 30 years experience and training in martial arts and weaponry. Practicing numerous styles with a focus on Kenpo karate to include both the Parker and Tracy systems.

Sensei Jim is an enthusiastic, dedicated teacher. He has developed this school to give the whole family a place to study the art of self defense.
