The Kenpo creed;
"I come to you with only "KARATE"-empty hands. I have no weapons, but should I
be forced to defend myself, my principles or my honor; should it be a matter of life or
death, of right or wrong; then here are my weapons - "KARATE" - my empty hands."
This creed shows the amount of respect students of the martial arts consistently demonstrate and are expected to maintain. Kenpo is a Chinese style that uses many self-defense techniques in circular movements. Sensei Jim has taken the traditional Japanese style of Goshin Jitsu and added it to our curriculum. He believes that combining the styles of the Chinese and Japanese arts will develop a style of martial arts that is powerful, effective and useful in everyday life. All students of the martial arts are training for the same goals and reasons. We should all strive to work together, to help each other succeed and reach our full potential. Karate is not a hobby; it is a way of life.
